Hitler did not all of a sudden say, 'Hey, lets band everyone together by hating Jews.' The hatred of Jews in Europe goes all the way back to the time it became Christian. Passages in the Christian's New Testament paint "The Jews" as being the children of the devil, hypocritical, and interested only in money rather than in Gd.

Who wrote the following???

"""But since I learned that those miserable and accursed people do not cease to lure to themselves even us, that is, the Christians, I have published this little book, so that I might be found among those who opposed such poisonous activities of the Jews and who warned the Christians to be on their guard against them....Now, in order to strengthen our faith, we want to deal with a few crass follies of the Jews in their belief and their exegesis of the Scriptures, since they so maliciously revile our faith. If this should move any Jew to reform and repent, so much the better. We are now not talking with the Jews but about the Jews and their dealings, so that our Germans, too, might be informed....Our Lord also calls them a "brood of vipers"; furthermore, in John' 3:39 he states: "If you were Abraham's children would do what Abraham did.... You are of your father the devil." It was intolerable to them to hear that they were not Abraham's but the devil's children, nor can they bear to hear this today.... For they are a heavy burden, a plague, a pestilence, a sheer misfortune for our country. Proof for this is found in the fact that they have often been expelled forcibly from a country, far from being held captive in it....Therefore be on your guard against the Jews, knowing that wherever they have their synagogues, nothing is found but a den of devils in which sheer self-glory, conceit, lies, blasphemy, and defaming of God and men are practiced most maliciously and veheming his eyes on them.......but then eject them forever from this country. For, as we have heard, God's anger with them is so intense that gentle mercy will only tend to make them worse and worse, while sharp mercy will reform them but little. Therefore, in any case, away with them!"""

It was Martin Luther, one of the founders of the Protestant movement in Christianity! See:::

Remember, Germany was about one half Catholic and one half Lutheran, at the time of Hitler.

Complex question asked about a complex man who deliberately keep his past a secret.
One of the most convincing theories I've heard on the subject is that Hitler was a psychopath.
Now here's how it all ties into things:
In Hitler's young artist days, he was known to hang out around a particular young ladies house (she was Jewish, but that didn't bother him, yet). He loved her very much, but in typical psycho fashion, he did it from a distance; she never knew he existed. Inevitably, one day she met another man, which tore Hitler's already twisted mind apart.
Later, when WWI broke out, he joined the German army and was sent to the front. He never really had the drive to push himself to succed back then (which explains why he never got promoted above the rank of corporal). Most of the officers over him were Jewish. Later, when he got involved in German politics, it was the popular thing to hate on the Jews, much like it's popular in American politics right now to promote the rights of certain minority groups. With his past "grievences" against the Jews and his twisted and extreme mentality, this environment molded him into the mass murderer we know in history.
His problem was also exastrabated by the fact that Hitler's own grandmother on his mother's side was a promiscuous harlot who was known to be living with a Jewish banker at the time she got pregnant with Hitler's mother. The uncertainty must have nagged at him, and without genetic testing available in those days, it would have never been answered.
Further support for this theory is evidence by the fact that Hitler also targeted homosexuals and disabled people in his holocaust, two "conditions" which Hitler himself had, hated, and tried to hide. He was known for homosexual behavior during his soldier days in the war and he is suspected of having been diagnosed with Parkinson's disease shortly before the Nazi machine set Europe on fire just before WWII.

Hitler did not have anything against the Jews when it came to religion or beliefs he did not care about God or religion the Jews were simply a minority which he believed did not deserve to live. there we many other minorites that Hitler attacked the Jews are just the most known because of his brutality towards them. Hitler was inspired by Niichi and believed in "survival of the fittest the jews were not the fittest and he wanted to take them out.

As I understand it (I have not read "Mein Kampf", so this is second hand), after he was a victim of mustard gas during the trench warfare of WWI, he convalesced in Germany. Seeing how the war effort was devastating the life of the people on the home front, he blamed the financial plight on the "great Jewish conspiracy" of money lenders/usurers. Things just went downhill from there, and when he achieved power, he could finally act on his misguided notions.

He was in many ways a brilliant leader, but also a very sick man.

yeah... I think it was two reasons

A. Jews historically are stereotyped as greedy, in a poor country, Hitler was smart enough to know he could use that to his advantage...

B. He needed a focal point.. something he could unite the people behind... true or not... something that he could blame everything that was wrong on...

He used them as a scape-goat. He had to blame somebody for all the countries problems. it was satan's attempt to wipe out God's people.
