No it won't work! I used to work for Cingular and got this question all the time. I was gonna make a suggestion, but already see the answer listed here! You should do exactly what scobysnax1064 suggested. That's the only way! I hope it works out for you!

It's surprising how virtually everyone except maybe 2 or 3 are wrong here.

The correct answer is YES, BUT you will have to get the phone unlocked. You have two routes you can take:

Route 1 - Stage 1 - Call T-Mobile and request the unlock code for the device. You will need to provide some basic account information, as well as basic information about the phone (which they will walk you through getting). Stage 2 - Wait for T-Mobile to get back to you with the code, and they will also provide directions on how to input the code.

Route 2 - Find a vendor online who will unlock your specific device via IMEI or cable. If the IMEI solution is available, you can simply provide the phone's IMEI, which is used to unlock the device. If a cable solution is necessary, you will have to acquire a data cable and unlock this way. The majority of the time you will use the IMEI solution (very seldom does a cable solution become necessary)

This should answer your question.

Unfortunately, no. I used to have T-Mobile and then made the mistake of switching over to Cingular (they are the worst service I've ever had!!!) and I tried a few things to get Sim cards to work in other phones, from both companies, with no avail. Even though both phone are Nokia phones and have the same sized sim card, they still don't work. Cell phone companies do this on purpose so that you have to spend more money on their products and services. My daughter is 1 year old, and chewed on my phone and destroyed it with her saliva getting into the electronics in the phone and my keypad was inoperative. I tried to take that sim card and put it into my T-Mobile phone, but no dice. Sorry, but it's not going to work.

I used to work for T-mobile so I have seen this work many times. You need to get the T-mobile phone unlocked to use the cingular sim card. You can call T-mobile or Samsung and they can do it for you.

Nope! Cingular and T-Mobile lock their phones so only their SIM cards can be used. Some people know how to unlock them... Do some research and maybe you'll be lucky.

No it will not. The Sim card is designed for cingular cell phones only. Sorry.

I worked for T-Mobile as a supervisor for Customer Service and You can have the Sim card work a T-mobile cellphone by calling the manufacturer (Samsung) and requesting what is known as a SIM UNLOCK CODE..this will allow you to use the sim in the phone...Since you have a Samsung cellphone go to SAMSUNG.COM and look for the Customer service Number..Call them it is free and request the unlock code...they can e-mail iit to you or give them a contact number..

It will not. Take the old phone to a cell phone shop (not a company-owned kisok) and they will unlock it for a small fee ($5 or $10). Then, you will be able to use the old cell phone with a SIM card from any GSM provider.
