Did you buy the right transfer paper for your printer? I have done hundreds of these and never had colors distort. I used 2 printers, an ink jet, and a resin printer. I had to be careful about using the right paper for each printer. But the problems I had were: the ink jet woudn't dry on the resin paper. The resin printer printed spotty on the ink jet paper. Also, the quality of the paper varies among brands. The paper you get in the office supply stores just isn't that good. Conde Systems was about the best I found. You have to buy it in 100 piece packs, but the price per sheet turns out to be about half what you pay from Avery or HP and it is better paper too. Go to www.conde.com. Also a hint, a home iron is not big enough. Take your print to a screen printer and have them press it on for you. It would be good if you buy the blank shirt from them, they have shirts that aren't coated with a finish that makes transfers hard to adhere. Or buy a heat transfer press and go into your own business. I see them on e-bay all the time.

You iron it to the shirt.
