Since commercial drivers fall under federal rules, you need to look in the CFR (Code of Federal Regulations).

The section is: 49 CFR §384.203

Basically, it directs every state to make the BAC limit for driving a commercial vehicle .04 or more. You need to check with your local state to see the actual law. However, it will say .04 or more.

I'm pretty sure the federal standard for a CDL in .04. I'm not sure what the non CDL is in NJ, but here in CA. the non CDL standard is .08.

CDL is a uniform federal system. The BAC for CDL drivers is 0.04. Most states BAC is 0.08 or 0.10.
