The government lies its *** off to the American Public do you think you will ever really know. I can give you my opinion which is the Brut force we used to steel the oil control!!!!! Bush has big time stocks in the oil! Most of his cronies do to also. Bush just thinks were too stupid to figure it out and tell us they have weapons of mass destruction-DUHHHH-they don't! Besides we gave them any weapons of destruction during the Gulf War to annihilate the Iotolla (don't know the correct spelling) but when Saddam invaded Kuwait that's when we invaded Iraq because Bush didn't want Saddam to have control of the oil in that country. Were pretty screwed up huh? And people cant understand why everyone hates the Americans! Gee, its a mystery to me too. Hope this helps some.

1990 Saddam led his army into kuwait and attacked them.The U.s. deployed to Iraq and kicked sadaams butt.A ceasefire agreement was drawn up.It stipulated that the u.n. be given authority to inspect iraq for nuc/bio weapons or else we would come in and kick his butt again. A decade later sadaam wouldnt let u.n. weapons inspectors search in Iraq.That broke the previously drawn up cease fire agreement so we went back in and kicked his butt again and captured him.Now we are trying to leave, but these radical freaks of nature muslim terroists blow people up which means we have to stay longer because we cant much say we have established peace there when terroists are blowing up people on a daily basis now can we?
So there it is simple, short, and in a nutshell. If you hear anything besides then it is probably B.S.

Brother's answer may be correct. While on a trip to Iraq after the first Gulf War, someone attempted to kill George H.W. Bush. He was not injured, but the perpetrators turned out to have been hired by Saddam. George W. Bush, our current president, once told someone he was going to go after the man who tried to kill his daddy.
