What is the fascination with constantly criticizing America?

-Why do 'PATRIOTIC AMERICANS" think they are doing us a service by negatively criticizing America for every little thing?
-What is the purpose? It's not gonna do any good unless it is constructive criticism aimed through a forum; directed towards our elected officials that establishes some kind of compromise.
-Why are so many Americans on the pop culture band wagon of disrespecting our leaders?
-The rest of the world bashes us enough, why do we insist on helping them along?

America will fall. This is my belieft. I think people bash America so much cause they see so much injustice in a country that has enough where their should be peace, sharing and REAL freedom. This country bullies others and we have more problems here that can be solved so other countries say Americans are stupid. And honestly, I think they are RIGHT. Why do we give to our rich when our poor needs it the most? Why dont we pay teachers enough when we have funs to pay out BILLIONS for people to explore other planets? Why do the govt get angry when senators and others tell us jus twhat term oil we are in? why hide and cover things up? Why do Americans throw good food away, example : HOME TOWN BUFFET, when they could give it to the hungry or needy. Why is houses in Californiaso expensive to where it takes people to live together just to get bills paid? WHy i nAmerica we cant buy cars and property unless we pay in full or have credit? Why is credit considered bad when their is no credit? How can a president apologize to African Americans and give no reparations? I mean didnt the jews get theirs and the Asians for vietnam? Why dont think country help it's own people before helping others? why...and i could fill a book on the things this country does wrong in comparison to what they do right.

Some Americans like myself believe America is a constant melting pot. Through constructive criticism we blend, evolve and improve in order to reflect the changing dichotomy of our population.

It's all good. The people we are becoming will transcend the best of yesterday. We need to bravely face poor choices we make in order to make better choices in the future.

The massive exploitation by the rich and powerful of the poor inside and outside America deserves more than criticism. It deserves widespread condemnation and a movement towards the dismantling of this all-consuming machine.

Jealousy is one of the most common human weaknesses.
The U.S. is perceived to be the richest, most spoiled society on earth. Thus jealousy created the climate of hate we hear about constantly from the media.
It is counterproductive for everyone who practices America bashing but ignorance and stupidity are, unfortunately, universal.
All societies have members who hate themselves and their contemporaries.
The best thing is to let our leaders and fellow citizens know that we are supportive of our country and leaders.
Above all we should be respectful of our elected officials. If we disagree with them - go vote. If we agree with them - go vote. That is the productive way to show our opinion.

Never heard of a "patriotic american" criticizing America. I have heard though, of people being accused of being unpatriotic for criticizing America.
-on that note. Does being patriotic mean following the leadership, even if it's corrupt and evil, blindly?

-I agree, there's a lot of unconstructive criticism... but it isn't just limited to criticizing America. There's lot of such useless comentary about everything, for instance complaining about people critizing America.

-Famous people speak out on political subjects because they have influence on a large amount of people.

-There's a reason why the world bashes us, maybe we should figure out that reason and try to deal with that instead of rooting for the home team just to spite them.

It's really sad too.No it doesn't do any good at all. If people don't like the current government we should vote for lawmakers that will get us what we want. We don't have anyone to blame but ourselves. I really do love America. And Dare I Say it. I like our President too.
