England is a great team they just have the media push behind Beckham that makes them so popular. The same hype was always placed on hockey players one in particular #99 every time playoffs came about. England has the chances to go very far, I just do not think the championships after the way they played the last 45 minutes of their last game

No I don't think they are necessarily overrated they have some of the highest paid individual stars in the world,, they have a fine tradition of competition,, I think what they do not have is a real passion, determination, and fighting spirit, they have the talent but that talent must translate into team work they need to work for each other not themselves,,, BTY I'm an Aussie go the Socceroos Brazil are waiting

England!!! People need to change TV and Radio Stations and get a different perspective on how a true Football game is played and viewed. Americans ~ ESPN, CNN etc do not know anything about Football ~ how to commentate a game. Everyone do yourselves a favor and go and educate on how the Europeans and Mexicans play Football.

"Some doubt about that result?" You don't know what you're talking about! England won 4-2 in extra time in the 1966 world cup... and yes, one of the goals was suspect (over the line? not over the line?), but even if that goal had been disallowed we would have won 3-2.

Yes. They are depending entirely on one player ,Rooney, to win this year and he is injured.
They have only won one trophy in over 100 years and there has always been some doubt about that result.
