Truly I believe the key is if the person really wants to change. There are some traits that are hard to change like when a male can't be faithful, or if a man is a wife beater, or if a woman is constantly spending money. I believe if they want to change for the better it has to come from within.

naievete changes with age and experience , if a person is allowed to have any real experiences anyway, Anger can go away if it gets dealt with, but it has to be dealt with first. I know I have an anger for someone and somepeople that is never going to go away until there dealt with. And as far as honesty goes I am beginning to believe it more and more like class you either got it or youdont;. Some of the richest people I have ever met, actually most of them, are the lowest lowlife scum you could ever have the unfortune to meet. And friends I had years ago in Long Beach when we were all broke pretty much together You could have them over for an all day all night party and your plants might end up with cigarette butts in the pots but nothing was ever stolen. I so wish i had a life like that again.

I think some things change with age and it's inevitable. I think there are inherent parts of our personality that won't change. I think some people have more patience, some are more angry than others

i think that things like that can be changed. Now the lying..., i don't know because if someone is a compulsive lier than that to me is a sickness. Who knows, I think a lot of other things can be changed.

I think people are the way they are and can only change if they truly want to. If they don't want to, then no one should try to make them. It just won't happen

i don't know if the habits can go away completely but i know that they can be diminished but it takes a long time and a hell of a lot of self discipline.

they can cover it up, but it's always there if you let go of your actions partly. smoking for example, if you start it and if becomes part of you, even if you quit, you still have cravings
