we are pretty naive to think we have the only living organisms in the entire universe on this planet.
we don't even know how big the universe actually is!

First of all, work on your spelling! Second, people are trying to figure that out. So far, there is nothing. I personally hope there is life on other planets close to Earth because it would be cool to learn about their lifestyle and what they look like and what they do on their planet. But for now, no sign of aliens have been discovered. It's a good question though. Many people like me and you would like to know what lies beyond the solar system and stuff and to see if there really is life on other planets. I believe there is. I mean, there CANT just be one planet with living things on it.

Some people have small minds. If only one star in a million has a planet around it, and only one planet in a million has life, and only one "living planet" in a million has intelligent life. Then there would be countless billions of intelligently populated planets out there. Space is a very big place.
Do people really believe that we humans are so special that we are the only highly evolved intelligent life in all the galaxies?

I believe that aliens exist. It is very improbable for one hundred billion galaxies with one hundred billion stars each not to have intelligent life on at least one. If you are talking about microbes then they might have already found them on mars and that would be an alien.
