Jordan with any of the second teir stars is the best. He is the one player who could not be stopped in the clutch. His defense was simply awesome and his leadership equal to Larry and Magic.

John Stockton and Karl Malone were the best couple. Without each other, they were pretty much nothing in my opinion.
I think most of the other players are better, especially Magic and Kareem, but Stockton and Malone have been building up that amazing yet annoying one-two punch for so many years that they;ve the best together. Michael Jordan could do fine without Scottie Pippen, as well as most of the other players. Malone and Stockton raised each other's levels phenomenally.

I think it is close between Kobe and Shaq and MJ and Pippen but since Kobe and Shaq ended up in a feud I would give it to MJ.
I am only 15 and I never liked ball till I was 6 so it was the last 2 years of the real MJ era. So for a long time I always wondered what made him better than Larry Majic Wilt. But then in the last years I have been watching old games of him and he was a good passer he made his teamates better him and scottie put on a show. MJ can score play defense rebound driblle. And Scottie can finish and get rebounds and dunk and so many things, They won three consecutive rings together.

Currently, you cant argue that Magic and Kareem were the best 1-2 punch in NBA History. Though I promise you, by the end of the next decade, they'll be replaced by Kobe and Shaquille.
Anywho, the best 1-2 punch can't be Isiah or Joe or Michael and Scottie cuz the best 1-2 punch has to be an inside game and an outside game. One guy who can kill a 3 or a jumper on you no matter what and take you to the hoop as well as one guy who will dominate the boards and obliterate you inside. Magic Johnson is the greatest PG to ever play basketball. He has GREAT size and length to go with great speed. He could play nasty one on one defense and had a great understanding for picking the passing lanes. He also was a great offensive PG. He could create for ANYONE at ANYTIME. He could break ANY defender on him and make something happen. He had the nicest passes and had the nicest arrangement of moves. He could hook it, lay it up, shoot it, dunk it, everything. He was THE man.
Then there was Kareem, Kareem was a pure beast. He had the sky hook which was the single most UNSTOPPABLE move in Basketball history. There was no way to stop it, just to hope he missed it. He had length and size and was able to grab long rebounds and make huge blocks and defensive plays. He wasnt a great one on one defender but a solid one. His awareness was unquestionable, he knew where his guys were on the court at all times and could kick it out to a wide open Worthy at anytime. He didnt dominate with size, but with SKILL in the paint area. He was the inside force of the NBA for like 15 years.
Magic and Kareem were a dangerous combo and no one was able to stop them, had it not been for some costly mistakes/injuries, and lack of a descent supporting cast for a consistent amount of years as well as chemistry, they would have won A LOT more championships then they did...But mark my words, Kobe and Shaquille are the best duo in the NBA history, no one will admit it now cuz they play on opposite teams and are still currently playing, but when they both retire, everyone will begin to really examine their games and how deadly they were...

Kobe Bryant & Shaquille O'Neal. Possably the best big man of all time, with an amazing player to compliment like Kobe Bryant. They were unstoppable. That's why they have 3 rings. The only reason why MJ and Scottie didn't get it, is they didn't compliment each other as much as Kobe and Shaq. They are both amazing players it's just they didn't need to feed off each other.

i think malone and stockton, because they truely played like a one two punch, the others played well, but thats just because they were good players, it was just that they were good, however malone and stcokton made each other a lot better, besides kobe and shaq at times took away from each other, not to mention that when magic played with kareem, kareem was older and aging and wasn't even scoring like he used to or that well, however stockton and malone look at the stats, stockton most assists, and great 3's and pts while malone almost has the most pts scored ever and had 20 something pt avg every year until stockton and malone split

Larry Bird and Kevin McHale
I know alot of people don't remember them but they won many championships with the Celtics. Bird was a force from the outside and McHale was a beast on the inside. They won like 4 or 5 championships together.

Kobe Bryant and Shaq are the best team because Kobe Bryant is one of the leagues leading scorers. Kobe can get assists and draw fouls when needed. On the other hand Shaq gets rebounds and when he is in the post and is double-teamed he can shoot to get points or he can pass to the man that is open and get an assist.
