My sweet 16 is in about 6 months. but im a planner so i wanna figure stuff out now. its going to be small. close friends with my family. i dont want any dancing. but i want it to be formal. any ideas?

How about a "Sixteen Candles" Birthday Gala. Not too casual. Not too formal. Fifteen people enter the room with candles while soft music by violin or harp is played in the background. Each candle represents an attribute about you (ambitious, loving, unselfish, etc.). Each person shares reflections about that attribute then places the candle in a centerpiece arrangement or candelabra. You enter the room with your candle which completes the set. You are introduced by your parent(s) or guardian then toasted by your guests. Serve dinner, mix and mingle with friends and family and enjoy your day. Take lots of pictures. Happy Birthday!

Im going to have a formal sweet sixteen to!!!....lol....so you want a formal party huh.....ummm.......maybe if its going to be small then you can do a thing wear some make up company comes out to your house and does make up for all your friends....or idk.....but i hope you have fun:)

i'd go for more of a casual friends and family get together, if you like games have a lot of games that you can win prizes and if you're not a game person have it like a theme like (a.) movies- play movies and popcorn (b.) go to a bowling alley *that's want i think is the best like reserve some lanes then go over and play then go for food or something

yea ... go to "the melting pot" restaurant ... enjoy some fondue ... then go have fun at a movie or something of that nature ... melting pot ... is an extremely formal restaurant ... enjoy
