Well, because "getting close" to a guy means getting physically close, while to a girl it means getting emotionally close. Same words, different meanings - a category of misunderstanding that has lead to many difficulties in my life.

Don't listen to all this BS, guys are programmed by hormones to seek out a good mother for their offspring. when they size you up and determine that you would be a good candidate as a mother, their hormones kick in and pursue you. (that's the reason for so many lonely post menopausal women out there, they are no longer viable as mothers, and old men can have kids up until they die, which seek out viable mothers for their offspring, even if they have been fixed). when a guy decides you are mother material, he goes into automatic pilot, he can't help himself. it's like trying to control your heart rate, almost impossible. and when you finally get close, he has already located an alternate mother machine. man and woman are here to reproduce. when an old man has a baby, it's not an old baby, it's a normal baby. that's why men can reproduce up until they die. to impregnate as many women as they can. 1 woman equals 1 baby every 9 months, 2 women 1 man equal 2 babies every nine months and so on. don't blame men for trying to get in that azz, it's all pre-programmed.

Because they are looking for one thing. And if you push it, they walk away. It's a losing battle anyway. But things will get better.*U*
