I see this "said" quite often, but I'd like to know what, besides opinions, this is based on. Please provide SOLID factual information.

Saying "convservatives" or "liberals" are uneducated is a gross generalisation. It always means that the person saying it has encountered a head strong idiot with particular views that oppose theirs.
That said, most self proclaimed "conservatives" or "liberals" are idiots. Nothing wrong with having views on an issue, but ask yourself how you came to have those views.
As Chris Rock once said: "Any person who declares a stance on an issue before examining the issue itself is an idiot."

There is no basis. There are educated Republicans and Democrats and there are uneducated Republicans and Democrats. Where this assumption came from I'll never know!! And Deb, FYI - just because you don't like him doesn't mean he's uneducated...

while there are, of course, educated people on both sides...
If you look at a map of the best schools in the country... by state or by city... and then look at a map of who votes conservative and who votes liberal... it's pretty interesting how the two are similar...
The south voted clearly for Bush... the south also has the worst schools and the most poverty....
Granted it's not hard and fast... for every city and state... but it's alarming how much of the time it relates...
