He's 41 and has never been married. He met a woman online about 4 months ago. Once in a while he mentioned talking with her. This week he married her and she's never been in a serious relationship before - so she says. Why would a man do this? I think she relocated too.

It sounds like your uncle was tired of the loneliness that can wear on a person after some time.Go easy on him for the decision he made and wish him the best. It could work out ok for him and nowadays it isn't an uncommon way to meet others.At forty one though a man or women for that matter is usually pretty set in their ways so hopefully they have much in common. Perhaps by her mentioning not having been in a serious relationship she may have really been meaning none of them worked out well. If it doesn't work out he should get out more where he is likely to run into women with common interests. I hope all works out for him and if not , give him your best and let him know the right one just hasn't arrived yet and when he does find her he'll be glad this relationship didn't work.

Loneliness makes people do strange things sometimes, and I think your uncle got lonely. He met this lady and they hit it off, apparently. I hope it works out for them. She was lonely too, so they hopefully have made each other very happy!

If he only mentioned talking to her once in a while, chances are he just isn't one to share all the details of his love life. Let him be...and wish him luck!

Maybe he was having a mid life crisis and was scared of ending up alone.

He was probably very loney and desparate to be with somebody. If he's happy, let him enjoy it while it last.
