I hate them so bad that I will leave the tv on CSPAN for hours just to have background noise that doesn't have commercials. I've gotten to where I never watch sitcoms or the morning shows because they bombard us with commercials.
One good thing has came out of it: I'm getting more educated because in the evenings I watch PBS because NO COMMERCIALS.
Man I HATE THEM!!

Buddy, I'm with you. I haven't seen a commercial in months...since Super Bowl. I only watch PBS, TCM, and premium channels (HBO, etc)...all commercial free.

I can honestly say I have not watched network TV shows (with the exception of some college football games) in years. Watch the local morning weather forecast - watch PBS news in the evenings as well as TCM, AMC, PBS and GPB. I just also finished watching House, MD on NetFlex.

Yeah, my wife when she has the remote in her hand, mutes ALL commercials. I, on the other hand, only detest some, like the ill-mannered and misinformed Carl's Jr. spots of the last few years, detest them! My wife is most seriously offended by the feminine hygiene ads. My son and I sometimes like to bag on the commercials when mom's not around, kinda like Mystery Science Theater 3000. Good question.

I know what you mean. I live in a small town, and they have these cheap homemade commercials for the local businesses like drug stores, and they have their fat kids dressed up in totos and their grandmas dancing around- i hate that one, and they play it like every break from what you are watching. One thing that they have here that ive never seen before is commercials for funeral homes-homemade commercials of course

I gave up TV altogether. :D I bought myself a few CDs of nature sounds for when I need some background noise. I only read the news, never watch.

I hate them too!
I bought TIVO, and its great! I never watch TV live anymore, I record everything and fast forward through the commercials!

TIVO is that way to go if you can afford it. But good things may come to an end. Phillips is trying to fix it so you can't fast forward through the commercials.

Yes! The best way to still enjoy sitcoms etc is to get DVR and you can skip the commercials altogether.
