If you listen to the professionals, you will either kill or be killed.... lol... but seriously, calming (classical for example) music soothes the soul, relaxes you, blah blah... rock music is faster paced and, therefore, is considered to put the body under more stress, whether you realize it or not. It is proven fact that people who relax and take vacations, etc live longer, have few health problems, etc.

"How and why has metal been alive for see you later (even as different genres have had such short existence span)???" I even ought to believe the Ahmadenajad icon. You pronounced those type of genres and each and each and every an evolutions of the previous era of metal. yet each and each and every form, take lack of existence metal as an party, all began contained in the underground and grew to attractiveness. Ever hear of the historic chinese Dynasty Cycle? wide-spread leaders are further to means, their descendants are discovered to be inept in face of organic catastrophe and overseas invasion, besides as (not THAT somewhat)corrupt, they are overthrown and the cycle maintains. Thrash grow to be large as an underground form: there grow to be little that they could replace their look and sound for, as they did not get the first tastes of massive money. even as they did, the extra wide-spread and extra effectual funded bands killed or pushed further underground the faster, extra aggressive song, displacing it with extra radio-oriented. This created 2 circumstances that could want to ensue at the same time: the wide-spread bands contained in the limelight persisted to promote out further and extra, being merely a parody or radio pleasant version version of their previous selves, and slowly began to vanish and cave in. The offended, aggressive adult adult males left to brew contained in the underground playing in pubs and bars were waiting to go back out, and the kids disappointed with the previous era's metal took a liking to them. lack of existence metal grew to grow to be international familiar, thrash is particularly endangered. Its the underground scene and new techniques on previous sounds that keep it alive.

If you live next to someone who hates hard rock, there is a chance :-)

No, you won't have a shorter life span...just maybe a hearing aid. But beware! If you listen to rap or hip-hop, you'll be gunned down.
