Sure you can! If you buy it with your company you will have to pay full price though. I'd recomend you to get an unlocked phone so you can use it with different companies in case you decide to change carrier. uBid has plenty models, and it's a good place to buy over the internet.

The phone you purchase has to be unlocked, which means that there is no restriction on which SIM card you can put into the phone (so you can use any carrier). Just search eBay for the model you want (like RAZR, w600i, or whatever). There are also plenty of online stores that sell unlocked phones. Be prepared to spend a lot since the retail price of a decent phone is about $300; the 2 year contracts that most providers lock you into are how they recoup the losses from the huge rebates on the phones.

YES you can.

If you have Cingular, you can go to any of their stores, (As any company) and just say you want a new phone, don't want to upgrade your plan. BUt a phone alone does cost a lot, but hey, if you need one badly do it. That way you dont' have to sign on to another nazi contract. So yes. You can get a new phone without a new plan. :)

Good luck. Also. DO NOT LET THEM PRESSURE YOU. Just buy the phone, and be happy. They should put your sim card on the new phone for you, just make sure whom is head of the account is there with you or have their social security number. :)

Goodluck.

Yes you can. There are several reliable sources to purchase phones from. You will pay a premium to buy a phone from a retailer without a plan. You can buy from ebay, however, be very careful that the phone has a "pedigree" and is not "hot". They all have tracable serial numbers. I found a couple other good souces to be Tiger Direct and NewEgg.

Sure you can. It depends on which carrier you have though and how much you are willing to spend.

If you're with a GSM carrier (like Cingular or T-Mobile) and your SIM card was not destroyed from the drop in the lake, then you can get an unlocked GSM phone from online (like Yahoo! Shopping or amazon.com). Just put your SIM card in the new phone and you'll be good to go. If your SIM card was lost or destroyed, then you'll have to go get a new one. On T-Mobile, they will sell you one for $20.

If you're with a CDMA carrier (like Verizon or SprintPCS), then you'll have to online to find a phone that matches up with those services.

Yes you can. I have really bad luck with phones and have started buying mine from e-bay. You can usually get a really good deal just make sure it's compatible with your carrier. You may have to check sims cards, esn numbers, etc. You can get brand new ones or older model ones just depends on how much you want to spend and what you like. I have purchased a new razor off of there and an older sprint phone. So..... try E-bay. They have EVERYTHING!!!!!!

No one can stop you from getting another cell phone. You just have to pay a termination fee if you want to terminat the other one before the contract ends.

If you have GSM based service (Cinglar,T-mobile), all you need to do is pop in the SIM card into the new phone you purchased. Make sure you buy a unlocked phone.

sure if your current service supports all of the features in your new phone. Then just switch the plan over to the new phone.
