While downloading something my trasfer rate is awfly low , i think theres a plugin of some sort but not sure what.

Yes you can!...I use a Program called CableNut...and I'm actually over the cap (Faster than the Advertised speed of my ISP) of the speed set for my connection...First download this program...

Next go to this site and do the calculations for what needs to go into the input boxes, then click to set then into the registry (make sure you back it up first), reboot your computer and that's it...then go test you speed again and see if you don't end up faster!

download "Free Download Manager" goo to www.download.com
and type on the search bar the name of the program above. I assure it, your download rate would be much much much faster.
