I use soap when I'm going to put on scented lotion or perfume after the shower because it has a very light smell and I can cover it up. If I'm in a hurry I just use shower gel.

I like both, but soap always gets all over my shower shelf and is a general pain, so I will have to say gel.

Shower gel because:
1) It mosturizes your skin
2) It comes in lots of different scents
3) It doesn't ruin your shower, like soap.

use soap first, but follow with shower gel because the soap dries your skin out, and the gel remoisturizes
