You get software like Nero Burning ROM and follow the instructions.

Step One: Get a Program called DVD SHRINK (it's FREE and very easy to use software that you can find with a simple google search)

Step Two: make sure you have a program like NERO or something similar that will burn DVD files (.VOB files), which is pretty common these days. Note: this is a different function than "copy an entire disc"...you're not using that because DVD Shrink is taking the original DVD data and "restructuring" it back into regular files (VOB. files). Sounds complicated, but these programs do all the work for you, really.

Step Three: Run DVD Shrink with the selected DVD in your DVD drive. Compress data if necessary (to make it fit on a 4.7G disc)
and "backup" to hard drive.

Step Four: Run NERO with a blank DVD-R in drive and select "add DVD video files" or something similar. Find the .VOB files that DVD Shrink created, add them and burn your DVD!

Once you get the hang of it, you can re-author DVD's to get rid of stupid intros (that you can't fast forward through) and all kinds of other cool stuff.

With DVD burning, everybody has their own preference, but I'm a huge fan of DVD Shrink, based on high quality output and how easy it is to use. So check it out, and good luck.
