...or, we'll just make sure you're doing everything correctly.
First, find your Skins folder. It is in the same directory as Avant's executable. (Probably C:\Program Files\Avant Browser)
When you download a skin, it will save as either a .zip file or a .skn file. If it's a .zip, "unzip" it and place the .skn file in your Skins folder. If it's a .skn file, there's no need to "unzip" it.
For Avant skins, there is no "installing" needed, just place the .skn file in you Skins folder to have it appear in your menu.
