Science is about knowing about this world and its functioning. Science matters can be simply proved by looking around at things as they are now and comparing them with those of the stone age.

Science....Matter.......get it?
(at least I thought it was vaguely funny)

Yes, of course science matters, perhaps to some people more than others (as evident in the large group which participates within the 'Science and mathematics' category on Yahoo! answers). Without scientific advances and discoveries, our lives would be quite different.
Yes, scient matters, a lot.

This should be rhetorical question. It is like asking is breathing necessary? Science is a vital part of our lives. Without science, we would be nowhere in terms of our technological advances and medical knowledge. Just consider what would happen if we didn't anything about the human body. Would we be able to cure the hundreds of diseases and infections out there? Would we be able to save hundreds of lives with the medical technology science has helped us to acquire? No, we would not. In addition, consider this. If a man commits a murder and he leaves a strand of hair at the crimescene, how would the authorities be able to catch him if science never provided the solution of DNA for us? In effect, I think this question was pretty poorly-thought out. Next time you post a question, please make sure it can be answered logically and please, please, please, make sure it is nothing like this one.

From the time when human beings first began asking questions, there was science. It is nothing more than a structured way of asking and answering questions.

Just like the one you just asked.

How does it feel to be a fledgling scientist?

I hope i'm not answering a quesstion to your homework! Well any way... Of course it does if it wasn't for science many crime scenes would be unsolved the studies of the human body would have never been done, there would be no biological way to identify you and much much more!
