No, I would only pay if their name and phone number was not on it. Most things in life that come with advertisements are free or discounted..

why would you need the agency's name and number on his headshot? aren't you getting it so the focus is on how cute your son is? and $375 seems a bit pricey.

even though that is very priceful it is important in modeling and acting if this is for his comp card than yea it needs to hae the agency and phone number on it because thats how they will contact them which they will contact you it is best if you use an angency instead of doing it on your own because some organisations will not exept you unless you have one take it from me i am a model and lost alot of jobs because i did not have a agency but now that i do it is alot better i have recieved alot more jobs and if he is serious in this buissness then he should know that even if you dont get the job its not because your not good enough its because you werent right for that part good luck!

How deperate are you to have your son get into in industry? Most of these agencies are money pits. Have you checked the success record of the agency? How many working model/ actors do they have?

No, definately not. I would search for estimates from photographers, and they likely have some good tips for you as to what you will need(possibly). You should have at least one or two professional shots taken, for your son... if he's serious about his pursuit.
Check around for prices!

$375 and its got their name and number???
I agree with the others, the focus should be on your child and not them trying to solicit business from your friends and family.

No NO NO! IF they want him they should be paying for that headshot not you. Talk to them. If they want him as badly as it sounds than they should be paying that.

i modeled for years, and i can promise you that if the "agency" is trying to get you to buy ANYTHING, they are not an agency.
a real agency will pay for all of your stuff. they are investing in you because they are confident that you are going to make the money back for them through good jobs.
please please don't be fooled! its so disappointing.
