I dont know if this is exactly hat your asking but if you want to get a certain shade of something then you can just mix your makeup with different colors of that same makeup. For example if you wanted a light pink then you could just mix a dark pink with a white until you get your perfect shade. I do this all the time.

Go to www.TLC.com; click on the What Not to Wear show; look for the section where they feature the hosts, hair stylist and make-up artist...; the make-up artist has a site of her own, it should have it listed on there. I like her style of make-up.

Go to Dillards or Nordstorm or any other department store and they will give you the best advice!!! (@ the make-up counters just go to your fave brand and ask them how to put eyeshadow or blush or anything else and they will show you)
