According to the DEA, the drug seizers for marijuana from jan. 05 to sept. 05 was 71.8%. However, I was unable to find arrest rates because most stats are a combination of marijuana, cocaine, heroin, meth, and various other drugs (no seperate numbers).
Hmmm. I wonder why?

I believe it is 0%.... Marijuana is a peace drug. It doesn't cause the user to become aggressive, or dangerous. The only problem is that it is still illegal in most states. Therefor people [they] , [we] are put in jail for selling it. Seems as if the gov wants it to be, and stay a problem. The solution would be an easy one, LEGALIZE IT, AND CONTROL IT AS WE DO ALCOHOL OR CIGARETTES. My point only, I tell it as I see it. Thanks for the chance. LOL

i have no numbers for you, but i would just like to say that i am almost positive a hell of a lot more crime is caused as a result of alcohol consumption in the u.s. than marijuana.....and by the way, ive never smoked weed in my life, so don't go calling me a stoner

I think people should be allowed by law to possess pot for personal use, in the form of a plant they grow themselves at home. If ya can't grow a plant, ya can't smoke pot. Put a mandatory sentence for selling pot, or any other illegal drug, for that matter, at about 80 years. Make it so pot can be grown/used legally at home, for those that want to drift through life in a purple haze, it's all good, but shut down the pot commerce. It's in the billions, and needs to be stopped.

Dunno how much it influences unrelated crime.
