I need to purchase a new sewing machine. I like to quilt a lot and sew denim as well as fancy dresses. I would appreciate any suggestions as to what machine is the best. Thanks

I love my Brother NX600. It has lots of basics, plus bells and whistles for fancy stitching. There is also a extended bed option (which comes standard with this model) and an ton of specialty feet.

Try Joann's.com or Hancockfabrics.com, They had some machines for quilting and other things on sale here a while back..

I have the Janome 6600P and I love it. It has incredible speed and control. I like that the bobbin winder is a separate motor from the rest of the machine, so you don't have to stop one to do the other. It also has double feed dogs, which I find gives better control. (Did I mention I love my machine??)

My personal preference is the Janome 6600. Check it out. It will make the quilter in your smile.
