I'm not. I have had numerous shots in my lifetime. It's really not as bad as some people think.

As a matter of fact, I even watch them give me the shot.

no, my fear went away when I became a Medical Assistant. All of the girls in the class had to give each other shots, kinda like training. Yeah so I had to get over it really quick!! But on the bright side my instructor told me I had really good technique and I should go on to Nursing!! Which I am! But the only bad thing was I had 50 tiny little bruises for a week!! ouch!

very scared, yes, it's just the pain of even a mosquito bite. but it's worse when its a shot. its unsanitary sometimes. and i remember the time before last i got shots a girl down the hall was screaming her head off at her shots. i later heard she had different shots because she had cancer but it was scary

Nope, I have IV's in me all the time. I'm pretty used to it by now! I think I got over being afraid of shots when we went overseas and had to get about ten shots in one day to protect us from all the different strains of viruses and diseases over there that our bodies weren't immune to.

I have to say though, I still can't look at it when they are drawing blood or inserting IV's. I think I would throw up. And I squeeze that little rubber ball until it nearly pops too trying to keep my mind off of it. :o)

no. the secret is to not look at the needle. you need to distract yourself when getting a shot. i usually talk to the person giving the shot and before i know it its over. this works for when you have to have blood tests too. i am a diabetic and i have to go for blood tests every three to four months.

I'm afraid of shots and needles because of the pain I know is coming.
