Do they? I never noticed it.
But i think the reason behind that is that the questions about getting down are easier to answer than the serious questions. I mean, if you choose between 'do you love me' and 'whats the meaning of life from the buddhistic view', youd probably go with number 1.

By answering this question I am adding to the phenomena of which you speak. The reason is it is a universal topic everyone can relate to, more than religion, business, friendships, etc. You may have nothing else in life, but you have sexual desire. It's universal.

hmm... coz the latter is too heavy, too time consuming, requires serious thinking and answers from the heart ( you need to care )
sometimes i avoid those questions as well when i don't have the time or motivation to do so
s.e.x questions can be answered simply, and it's something almost everyone knows about

Because sex and relationship questions are a lot more fun! Besides, not many people know the answer to all those "smarty-pant" questions (as I like to call them!).

because society today is telling people that s/e/x is the cool thing to do, so people think that WOW that quesiton is about s/e/x if i answer that that will make me cool, or because they are sick and twisted, people today are immature, that is prolly the best way to put it.
