It is my opinion that a majority of people accross the world could be classified as a member of the "mindless majority", meaning that they will follow anything the media or community says without questioning it. i watch the news, and see how they constantly bash President Bush, thus his popularity rates decrease. why can't people research things and gain their own opinions instead of following the bandwagon. You even see this with democrat presidents. if you ask a person what they think about clinton, a large majority will immediately go to the sex scandal and say he was a bad president. i think he is was a bad president, but not just because of his sex scandal. why doesn't anyone talk about his fisical policy or social wastefullness???

I think you're on to something, there. A lot of people don't think before they talk, before they act, before they vote. Mainly, a lot of people don't think very hard. That's why if you learn how to think, you're considered 'smart'.

What I think, is that this administration is taking a lot of criticism, some of it well-deserved, some of it not, some of it motivated by people that don't even call america 'home'.

Forming your own opinion these days is kind of like building a castle, out of tissue-paper...in a strong cross-wind...the people on TV basically want to tell you what your opinion is, billions have been invested in finding out. That's how they sell you a new car you can't really afford, but con you into paying for it until 2085.
Nice people.

The idea of spreading democracy is seen as some great mission. And it would be, in the absence of a mindless majority. When we see Hamas elected and read the Iraqi constitution -- to name just two examples -- we see mindlessness at work.

why is it that Republicans talk about research... yet never cite any facts?

They talk about how all the research supports them, yet all of a sudden say nothing when you ask to see it?

In fact, I can't remember the last time a Republican supported an answer with a cite?

I guess what I am saying is... I try to look around and see all the angles... Republicans never give me the basis for their political beliefs... it's hard to support them when all those that I question don't have a basis for what they believe...

Really? I thought there was a mindless majority a few years ago, when almost everyone was SUPPORTING this president...

The pendulum swings both ways.
