You are given 3 wishes by a genie for world peace what would you do to achieve it?

wish no 1: for all existing political leaders to disappear
wish no 2: to lose forever the ability to make weapons against other humans and all existing ammuniition
wish no 3: for humans to lose the ability to exploit one another

That's a loaded question since the mere fact if a genie, witch, warlock, leprechaun or any other magical entity existed and in fact had the necessary ability, the problems of the mortal world (for that matter, the mortal world period) would not exist in it's present form.

But for the sake of argument, in order for "world peace" to come to fruition, you would have to eliminate evil in all of it's forms in not only this world but the whole universe and beyond. I am guessing that would be beyond the scope of a mere genie.

Actually, is "world peace" necessarily a good thing. I would prefer "world harmony" in which case, nations would agree to disagree and respect each others cultures and beliefs. While at the same time not being compelled to force upon those beliefs on others in the name of "national security" since national security would not be an issue in a harmoniest world.

The problem again to achieve even a harmoniest world, the genie would still have to eliminate evil, evil thoughts, evil emotions and all effects of evil. And not just George Bush since he is apparently the root of all evil here and to blame for the world crisises.

I think I would start at the grass roots by having anyone who had the slightest bit of religious or racial bigotry being forced to entertain a person of another race or religion as a guest for a week or maybe a month. It's painful to have to confess it, but I think it would do me good, for one. I grew up in an era when one hardly saw anyone with a different coloured skin and, even though I know my parents were very liberal in that respect, somewhere along the line I have picked up and retain, much against my will, a slight uneasiness when with people with a different skin colour.

Next, I would turn all weapons into chocolate. I am not sure how one would deal with things like kitchen knives and chainsaws, though. Perhaps I would have to use my third wish making a corollorary that such implements only become chocolate if there is the thought of harm to another person in the heart of the wielder. Just for variation, things might be jelly beans or marshmallow on special days.

Finally, I would have all world leaders wear fancy dress when at world conferences, or meeting other world leaders. They would have no choice or knowledge of what they were going to be dressed as when they met. It would just happen. I will leave the rest to your imagination!
