Some would argue that men have a genetic predisposition to be promiscuous. The instinct of any species on the planet is to procreate and expand/sustain the species' existence. Females of most mammalian species do this by selecting the mate that they feel offers the best physical characteristics to survive/thrive in their environment; thereby creating the strongest and most apt offspring. Males however, expand/sustain the species' existence in a different way. The most effective way to for them to do so is to spread their seed as much as possible, thereby increasing the chances of procreation.

We are a long way from the days of living like animals in the wild. However, we may not be as far away from them as we think. I have heard many good arguments against this theory but all of them have to deny that we have little or no inherent instincts. But if that were the case, how does a baby know to feed from the breast of its mother. How do people in isolation know to have sex, why are people of every culture and community afraid of the dark. I believe we are more like animals than we want to believe. What do you think?

reverse that, when you learn that the knife cuts both ways you will learn to appreciate each other more and no cheating will go no, as time passes in marriage we start to take each other for granted and we start talking to each other the wrong way and the cycle goes on until we find happiness outside our homes, sad, but i read your words and to me it says that you believe its a one way strett, well you are correct, if you mean like 30 years ago, today 35% of married men in the usa cheat while 38% of wives do to some extent, the gap is closing and we all loose

If a man can cheat on his wife then he is not truley in love with her. And if he is considering about cheating he needs to tell his wife straight up about it, and eaither leave or talk it threw. Im sure that he wouldnt like it if it happened to him. So if the men that cheat on their wife are looser and never were really inloved.

I have to agree with you here. If you really love someone you wont cheat or even think about doing it.... I dont feel that people who cheat really loves their spouse at all. Men cheat because they are selfish and want things outside of marriage and feel that their wives are not enough for them!
