The avatars, from what I see, don't allow you to make a body fatter or thinner.
Also, I imagine, most people will make their avatars look like better versions of themselves. Although my avatars usually have glasses on, the one I'm currently using does not.

I don't remember seeing any rules that said your avatar had to accurately reflect your appearance. Frankly, I'm a size four or six, like my avatar, but in real life I don't wear glasses. I just thought they looked cute. My avatar is also wearing capri pants, which I HATE and never wear- so shoot me.

Simply because no one wants to portray themselves in an "unattractive" way. I see your point, but at the same time if given the choice I'd rather take the slim pretty one.
