Some states have enacted one form or other of what is often called a "Samaritan Law." What they tend to say is that is able to help a person in immediate need, it may be considered a criminal offence not to , at least, offer help. The form of help may be as simple as calling 911 for assistance.

For illustration, I call attention to the final episode of Seinfeld where just such a law was parodied.

Most Good Samaritan laws are written to include protection from lawsuits on people who do offer help. In the pas, without these laws, many doctors, police officers and emergency medical techs were being sued by families of people who were not helped enough.

Old woman fell down. Help him up. What does the woman turn into a man? And no there isnt a law that states that. But there could be broken bones from the fall.

Certain things you do in life need not be dictated by an existing law..... Consider this, Take that person place only if its in your mind.... Now that you are the fallen one... would you like to be helped?

Remember, where that old person is today, you will be tomorrow... let you actions today be models of how you would like the younger ones around you to be....

In time we are all on the same escallator of life.... at the very top, there is no where to go.. but down... Its just a matter of time...
You should always treat others, as you would wish to be treated.

Again where the "old folks are ... you will be too someday.... The difference is... They made... and you hope you will...

If it's an old woman it's a not a "him", but no, there's not a law requiring you to help. That's a matter of ethics.

The "reasonable person" idea is a legal fiction used to determine responsibility and potential liability, but it's not a law.

You are required by law to assist anyone in a medical emergency. Its called the good samaritan law, the same law prevents you from getting into trouble if you create additional injuries if done while in good faith.

Because you are asking this asinine question, I can only assume you pushed her down the stairs. In that case, if you don't help her or call for help, it's failure to stop and render aid, which is a crime.
