There are many books out there that you can find at barnes and nobles or borders. Sylvia Browne has a book called how to contact your spirit giude. Also Richard Webster has a book that explains this very well. They both give meditations that u can try to contact your spirit giude. Also there are some examples of how what happened to them when they contacted their spirit guides. Some people do see them, as others may hear them, and the sound is very high pitched. This is due to the high vibrational frequency of spirits. You can raise your freq by decreasing the number of toxins that u allow into your body. IE...Animal products is a big one.

You wouldn't, unless you knew with certainty that the spirit guiding you is a good one. Otherwise, it's like asking people on the street what you should do. A clever one will tell you to give them all your money. Another will tell you to jump off a building.
