ok my best friend told me this, she has her period along with pubic hair. she shaves her underarms her legs and...... her pubic area. shes 5'6" and about 160 lbs. one thing, shes 11. im the only person who knows. is it normal for her to shave that area? can it harm her?

its 100% normal. as you get older..you get more hair in places and they can sometimes be unatractive. as long as she doesn't over do it on the shaving. she could get in grown hairs or rashes if she isn't careful.

if you think its not normal because she is overweight it doesnt matter how big you are... some people like to shave there pubic area because hair can hold odor and without it if she uses pads she wont feel as dirty... if its the age... she is ready so let her be but no it cant harm her

No it wont hurt her to shave thier. I started my period when i was 9 and i didnt like the hair getting in the way so i started to shave it when i knew i was going to get my monthly. Here i am 22 and still fine!

Ok i started my period when i was 11 everything your tellin me sounds normal everyone i know shaves it cant harm you just know what your doin or you will get razor burn that sucks butt

It's okay to do if it makes her feel better about her self. I don't know about total baldness cuz some of that hair protects you down there. Plus it itches when it comes back in. Trimming it, I think is better than total baldness.

It's not going to harm her. She'll be ok. It's a personal choice girls/women can make. I wouldn't worry about it.

its kinda normal to shave that certain area....it is mostly porn stars that do that though and no it can't harm her!!

No, honey it wont hurt her one bit. It may give her a bad case of ingrown hairs, but it wont hurt her.
