Embarasment is a natural reaction to losing status in the eyes of someone you care about. So you will either have to be embarrased, or not care what jerks think. (If i were you I'd go with door 2)

The embarassment is theirs. I would try not to angry, but I don't know if I would laugh along with them.
If someone asks, I would say "I feel a little embarassed someone went through my personal things, and I wonder if I would have done the same...I hope not"

Don't let them worry you. They are just being immature, act as though you don't care what they think - they will then leave you alone.
They have no right to go through your things anyway!!
Your choice in music is always going to be unique and different to everyone elses taste. Be proud of what music you like - if it makes you feel good about yourself then turn it up louder

Embarassment has a positive side-effect. It makes you strong bit by bit. Embarassing situations are the harder side of life that makes you strong and pragmatic.
So do not feel bad. There is always something to learn from an embarassing situation.

well, I also listen the music that no one else listens too...
And I don't really care...
When people ask me to borrow my i-pod I usually tell them that they surely may but they probably WON'T UNDERSTAND the music I listen too. Not smart enough for this...=)
I usually make it sound like a joke... so It doesn't sound like I'm making fun of people and in the mean time I don't let them make fun of me...
Just remember that you are special! That's probably why you like special kind of music=)

At least you got it back. Sharpen up your memory skills. Get enough sleep and nutrition in you. That should cure your forgetfulness.
For your embarassment, it just a natural emotion. Everyone gets it sooner or later. If you get really red faced maybe you need to drink more water.
If you get emabarassed alot, get more confidence in yourself.

Isn't an Ipod just music or are there other things on it? I wouldn't worry about it, it was probably just their fun for today and they won't even remember it tomm. If they mention it I would just say that tresspassing in other peoples personal stuff is rude and ignore them.

Don't worry about what others think. You are a unique person and it doesn't matter what they do, and this is just a small thing that no one will remember after a few days. Relax, and you will be fine!

Laugh at yourself with them. This works if they're laughing at you to try to hurt you because they think it's not working. Then try to forget about it. Think of something that makes you happy, maybe something you might have done well recently.
