Well considering the Bible has been translated so many times from a language that has evolved so much, who knows for sure that what we read today is exactly what was written then?

Besides, how do you know for sure that the people who were involved didn't exaggerate what their tales, or were not influenced by their human nature (which tends to write things to their advantages). For example, if you look at a history for a specific event, depending on who writes the book, the story will be slightly, because it's all according to perception.

Now I'm not saying there is no God, or Jesus never existed, I just don't take these writings literally, like some do.

NOTE: EVOLUTION DOES NOT SAY WE COME FROM MONKEYS!!!!! WE ONLY SHARE A COMMON ANCESTOR, BUT WE DO NOT COME FROM MONKEYS!!!!!

If anyone thinks that's a bunch of crap, they should look at the fossil records, look at the development patterns of animals, and look at the genetic code of organisms....These are facts you can actually see!!

If the Bible was true, that would be like asking if I "believe" in the newspaper. If I need "belief" to know that the Bible is true, then it's not true, is it? "Belief" is the assertion that something is true despite a lack of evidence to prove it. So, no. I don't "believe" in the Bible.

Do you think apes keep the sun from exploding or sending off huge solar flares propelling it at us or out of orbit. I most definitely believe totally in the bible.

My take is that the historical evidence is overwhelming that many witnesses recorded that Christ died on the cross and rose again to show us he was who he said he was.

www.str.org has some great evidence and historical backup on the Bible as being true.
