1st disconnect the positive battery cable. Loosen the belt tensioner to remove the slack from the belt or remove the belt entirely. Remove the wires locateed in the rear of the alternator. Remove the attaching bolts and then reverse this order for the reinstall. Once you start the engine, put a digital volt meter across the battery terminal, the reading should be at least 14 volts.

NEVER EVER remove the POSITIVE battery terminal first!!!
ALWAYS remove the NEGATIVE battery terminal first.
If you take the POSITIVE terminal off first, there is a chance you could ground out the wrench and cause a dead short to the battery. This will cause the wrench to heat up very quickly and you will get your fingers burnt. Plus, if there are any brake lines that you could contact, this will blow a hole in it or sever it completely.
Good luck with the alternator. Get the new one before you start so you won't forget how it goes back in.

I'm guessing that noone here has got you the answer you need. If I remember correctly, that alternator has to come out through the bottom of the car. Once you get the bolts loose, it should fall through the gap between the cross brace and the radiator and the engine. You may have to take off the plastic under cover if it is still there. It WILL fit through the hole, you just have to play with it. You can take the bolts off the cross brace.

IF YOU DONT, ATLEAST DISCONNECT THE BATTERY BEFORE YOU START!!!
