Perhaps a romantic movie like The Notebook. The Grudge if you want to see a horror film. Rush Hour if you are wanting to see an action film with comedy.

watch a sweet and romantic (the notebook, titanic, sweet home alabama) or comedy movie(rush hour, wedding crashers, meet the parents) don't watch a scary movie it's gonna frighten you especially if you're alone and it's raining

depends what mood you're in scary movie, romantic comedy, tear jerker, comedy... so many choices, so little rain...
scary movie - the ring, but it kept me awake with nightmares
romantic comedy - my big fat greek wedding adn many others
flat out romance but slow paced - room with a view
comedy - wedding crashers, bruce almighty
sci-fi - blade runner

Watch something that will change the way you see and think of everything. It's called "What the bleep do we know?" A fascinating documentary about what is going on all around us....., and we don't even know it.
