The arrival of the Bible is rather recent in the timeline of man, i.e. within the last two thousand years. Before God supposedly gave Moses the full text, there had risen and fallen many civilizations that fully understood the concept of evolution. Anyone who thinks Darwin came across the theory first is sorely mistaken. And anyone who believes that a story, who's origin and translation fall into question daily, supercedes all knowledge that came BEFORE it, should open their eyes and take a really good look at the world around them. Therein lies evidence enough.

evolution is known to many as a fact who can actually see and understand relegion and the growth through the ages. evolution had to come because first you can go with the adam and eve thing but after they were condemned they now had to leave the garden and try to survive in a uncharted wasteland that supposivly has not been cultivated by god yet so they die and since that was soooo long ago there bones, remains and everthing else is gone. now the evolution starts when god decides his first experiment on earth was a bust so of course he started to mold earth were it would be able to have creatures he could control better since humans have free will. after he does that the evolution starts and we see fish dinosaurs and all that stuff up until now. creationism was made by a bunch of relegious people that are way to high on there relegion. god is just an extremely powerful being eager to see what he is capable of just like us in a way since we were crafted in his image.

I don't, but I've found Bill Bryson's "A Short History of Nearly Everything" to be a very interesting read which purports to explain what scientists of assorted fields currently believe (and many of the more fashionable theories that lead up to that belief).

But, at about 70% though the book, the current reported point of evolutionary life is to do whatever and some of it will survive and some of it won't, though it's important to note that the more complex life gets, the more likely it is to run into something that keeps it from continuing on with the business of living.

It's a cold and impersonal natural process that favors bacteria that can kill us to our sentient life with a penchant for logic, discourse and fine art. But what did you expect from a reportedly natural process that's been going for (iirc) 40,000,000 times longer than you're going to be alive?

That's the thing -- even if evolution is fact, it's not something you can believe "in" because it is (scientifically) just fact and it's not something that you're going to have any kind of meaningful impact on in your tiny little lifetime. So that said, find something that motivates you to live your (tiny little) life to the fullest. Remember that even tiny little LEDs can be awfully dang bright.

That aside, You want to know why we really shouldn't be teaching evolution in schools? It's because the poor language arts teachers already have enough crummy "oh, life is meaningless angsty void of angsty dark abyssal angst" poety to roll their eyes over -- we don't need to be encouraging the students to produce more.

Why ever would I want to 'disprove' you! LMAO!
No, as long as you don't try to push your beliefs down my throat, I have no emotion towards you. I believe in evolution because, simply, I base my life around facts. To me, evolution is as proven as gravity. I read all manner of things, religious and otherwise, because if I refuse to keep my mind open and willing to new information, I risk losing those facts and straying into ignorance. My faith lies in knowledge and fact. Intelligent design has not been disproved, but it also hasn't been proved to the point of credible certainty for me, so until that time comes, I shall continue to keep an open mind on everything probable until proved otherwise.

I'm still desperately searching for websites that hypothesis about creation without being overly biased and in nearly all cases so far, blatantly ignoring fact and conclusive evidence in a desperate attempt to put forward their case. I understand their plight, I really do,(being ex christian myself) confronting so much scientific rationality would be extremely hard, but all sites I've come across so far, have had this basic problem. Refusing to acknowledge a fact, regardless of where it came from or who presented it, to me, shows a lack of honesty and a negative assumption of my intelligence.
If you happen to know of sites that attempt to be as unbiased as is possible, I would certainly examine them, although I won't hold my breath!

And Cutie Pie, your feeble retort to MissingLincon just confirmed what he thought, hon. (it's better to be silent and be thought a fool, than to open ones mouth and prove it)

;)

God created the earth in six days, even Jesus Christ Himself testifies in Mark 10:6, "But at the beginning of creation God 'made them male and female.'"

Why would Jesus say this if those things were not "at the beginning" as theistic evolutionists so profess? Plus, believing in evolution takes away the very purpose of there being a Savior because evolution means suffering and death before man, and Adam was the CAUSE of all those things.

I believe that in some way many of the religions in the world tie into evolution. Some how it all fits together. I mean you can't deny it anymore there is scientific proof.

Evolution takes millions of years - a time frame that is probably beyond your capacity to comprehend. Go back to your Fruit Loops little girl.

It doesn't matter whether or not you believe in it; there are millions of pieces of scientific evidence supporting it, and it is accepted by almost the entire scientific community.

But of course, the theory of evolution doesn't care if you believe in it or not. The theory of evolution will not comdemn you to eternal hellfire for the sin of not believing in said theory, and the theory of evolution will not punish your children for your sins.

The question of evolution belongs in the SCIENCE section. There is scientific evidence to back up evolution.

GOD belongs in the mythology section. There has never been one shred of proof of the existence of god.
