This stone tends to roll fairly slowly and picks up a good deal of moss in its travels!
The thing that has always impressed me most was something my grandmother said to me when I was about 15 and she must have been in her 90s ... a very old lady to a brash young teen. She said: "Inside I am still an 18 year old girl."

"Don't always trust your eyes. Life is a illusion. It appears to be 3 dimensional, but without facts you are only looking at a picture that someone else has painted for you." and "We control our own destiny. If we end up somewhere we don't want to be, we are the only ones that can change it. Talk doesn't change anything, only actions, will get it done."

Que sera sera - what will be will be. Always helps when I am trying to change something and realise I can't.
Carpe diem - seize the day. You never know what tomorrow will bring so get up and enjoy today.
T*ts and as* equals no class = my cousin said that when I was wondering what to wear one night. Always leave something to the imagination.

A vet who was selling flowers in front of a supermarket I bought one and he grabbed me by the wrist and said miracles do happen. Plus a nice old lady i used to work with who said in order to get married you have to find someone with the same ideals as you not the same ideas.

Many, from a wise Grandmother many years ago. 3 of that often spring to mind...
(On girls dress sense)
1.Dress like at tart, get treated like a tart.
(On married men having affairs)
2.Keep them exhausted and they won't wander.
(On feminism)
3.Women will only want feminism when it's in their favour.
And this one I read somewhere...
'Marriage is like a cafeteria. You take the first thing that looks good.
Then pay for it later'.

Life is the longest thing you will ever do, so live it how ever you want.
Plus a classic from "Steel Magnolias" I would rather have one minute of wonderful than a life time of nothing so special.

In reply to my concern about a crossroads in my life: "If money was no object - what would you do?"
Doesn't make the choice easier, especially if money is an issue, but sure helps you work out what your ideal choice is!

If you love someone set them free,
If they come back they are yours,
If they don't then they were never yours and it wasn't meant to be.
This advice was given to me by a friend about 13 years ago when I was upset that my best friend was moving abroad and I was worried we'd grow apart. As it happens we're still best mates.
