Most of the world's rainforest has already been destroyed. After it is destroyed, it can never be re-created. Therefore, any damage to the rainforest should be prohibited and punished most severely. The eco-systems and the species of the rainforest generally cannot survive elsewhere. It is the responsibility of humans to protect the forms of life which have been so egregiously damaged by human action. Not one centimeter of rainforest should be subject to harm.

Forestry is a completely renewable resource. Most licensed loggers reforest when they cut timber. I live in Alabama and Forestry is one of the top five industries in the state. Profitable on a lot of levels: the land owner for cutting and obviously the logger. The wood benefits mills for cutting the logs which become lumber for building, paper, even the pulp can be sold for mulch. And again, the trees are simply planted again for harvest in the future. People can make money growing seedlings for plantings. I read an article about a guy making millions because he cross-bred seeds for consumer specific purchasing. By the way, it's highly unlikely any one is "logging" in the Rain Forest. Most species located there are protected from harvest. Their seeds might be. Hope that helped some.

SAVE THE TREES! Honestly! Of course it's bad the trees are being cut down! There are species of animals that live there that can't survive elsewhere... and for what?? Money, that's all the world revolves around these days. I want you people to think about something... Why are we out there hunting animals?? Have you ever seen a flyer on it that says..."Save the humans! They're going extinct!" NO you haven't have you?? The animals are dying out and our populations are through the roof! Now... Who should be hunting/cutting down who??

I think if we keep killing our rain forest, we in the end will pay the price. The places clean the air for us to breath. If we kill all our natural air cleaner. We will soon all become very sick from the air that we will all soon be breathing. The air is toxic. And plants help clean the air.
