After iTunes, Dualdisc, and Surround Sound, where do we go from there?

**Please, write a paragraph, not a one-word/line statement.**

iTunes gives us easy access to the music we want, Dualdisc gives us better storage, and Surround Sound gives us better quality. To me I see the next big breakthrough finding music that we will love based on past preferences and providing feedback to the artists allowing them to know what we are looking for. Kind of like TIVO for music. There are already a few websites that are trying to move in this direction but the attempts are still lacking, as they get more feedback from users and fill in their database we should be able to have personalized music stations that fit our moods and whims. This is where I see us heading.

Is this for a paper?
The next big thing in Music Technology to me is mp3 music and some type of movie on an IPOD or something like that. I think dvds are almost out of style and I think that all music and entertainment will be on some type of downloadable format. No one will be heading out to Best Buy on New Music Tuesday instead we will be downloading songs and music videos from our computers on Tuesdays. I just don't see how or why we have Cd's anymore, don't get me wrong I love Cd's and the booklets and such but downloading is the best thing coming and be here for a quite a while, I am not sure what can replace that.

Maybe technology will give us the ability to download music in our cars or something. Seriously, I think that the MP3 player will be replaced with something even more compact and housing a boat-load of capabilities like: channel surfing, picture messaging and other things. MP3 players mmay even be equipped with some type of technology to play music that suites one's mood when it is in random mode. The possibilities are truly endless and people really do think up some strange things, so we'll just have to wait and see!!

I think that digital radio will sweep the automotive industry. No more just radio dial in our cars. It will become standard to have somekind of satelite radio, like sirius. I don't believe though that there will be any great leaps or bounds in the music tech world in the near future though. The saturation is too high.

I think it will be a smaller personal satellite radio service - a truly moblile system about the size of current MP3 players- that will allow you to download music or any other radio content for replay.

MP5: something like 5000 songs a gb, and MP5 home players, and USB connections so you can instantly hook up your MP5 player to speakers or a reciever.
