A "deja vu" is when you feel like you have been through this exact moment before, such as an exact sequence of events. For example, if a family member is plugging in an appliance in the kitchen, and you feel like you've been in this exact moment before and that it is repeating, that is called "deja vu." I think we get this a lot because we, as humans, are creatures of habit, and a lot of us live lives of many routines. There are many things per day that we do exactly the same as the day before. Some are more routing than others, but supposedly a deja vu is just a myth or coincidence...I go through a few every now and then, but it's never anything hugely significant...

Deja vu is the phrase that describes the process where your brain takes a micro-nap. For just a fraction of a second, your mind shuts down for a real quick rest. When it comes back on line, the things you witnessed while it was resting, seem like things that have happened before. This feeling lasts only a short period of time that it takes your brain to catch back up to the current input, and then the feeling of "damn, I've been here before, or I know what is going to be said next. Not scientific, but that is as good as I can do.

It is the feeling that you have experienced something before - and it means that you're in the right place at the right time.

Yes I have experienced it, numerous times, but only once can I boast to have dreamed the real life experience in which the deja vu occured.

A "deja vu" is when an event occurs, triggering a simultaneous "memory" of that event-- you believe that it has happened to you before. There are explanations both paranormal and scientific for this phenomenon.

Yes I have experienced it many times, but I'm not sure I believe it is anything paranormal.

'Deja vu' is when a person enters a moment that they know they haven't been in before, but they still feel as if they've been in that exact moment with the same thoughts/feelings, and even the same things going on around them.

I've had this happen so many time. And people will be around me, and as they talk, I just knew what they were going to say! Well, I couldn't say it before hand, but as it came out of their mouth, it's like it happened just like that before. So eerie.

the technical and real explaination of a "deja vu" is when you view something...its broken down and processed.. but the problem occures that your brain sometimes registers the information into memory before the eyes deciefer what it is....i.e. you look at a glass...your mind registers it to be a part of your memory before you register what it is and exactly where you saw it....so you think youve already seen it...when in reality its just a lapse in information....
