I'm 57 and I'm a victim of misadventure. My wife acts like she don't know me any more and so do the kids. Sometimes I wonder why I get up. The world is quick to judge and slow to understand. What should I do?

hhhmmm. "victim of misadventure"? May I assume you mean you had an affair? As for the world being quick to judge, that's called "consequence" my friend... Might I suggest some major sucking up to your wife and some major begging for forgiveness? I don't see you as the "victim" here. If she can forgive you, the kids will follow her lead.

First of all, stop feeling like a victim. If you have committed a transgression, sincerely apologize to those you hurt, learn from your mistake, and move on. Take an active part in the lives of your wife and children -- listen to them and learn what they're about. Knowing you have a real interest will make them interested in you.

Talk to your wife tell her how you are feeling and take control of your life.

If the world doesn't understand then maybe explain to it whatever it is meant to understand
