I am curious because I would like to enlist for the Navy but not on a full bases yet. I still need a few things to tie together. But once all is done I will be interested in going full time.

Anytime you want to crossover to active duty just request it through you Company Commander in writing. USN VET at your service.

Yes you may. If you put in enough time and experience in the reserves, you may be able to go in to the Navy with some rank, and almost certainly some seniority.

Timing may be critical. When you decide you are ready to do this, wait to see what incentives the Navy may offer. Do NOT ask a recruiter about future incentives. He's going to want to sign you up NOW to meet his current quota. When you see the incentive you like, then sign up.

Yes, you can provided they need your rating on active duty. Make sure you talk with a recruiter and see what ratings are undermanned!
