England will win because they have a nice balance of youth and experience and loads of talent. In many respects, this is the best English World Cup team I've ever seen assembled. They are more than a match for any team in the field, including the favourites, Brazil. Anyway, it's just a gut feeling I've had right along. Exactly 40 years after they won their 1st World Cup, the Three Lions are going to win their 2nd. Come on, England!

Italy
They have all the pieces this time around. They have the players, the coach and the team spirit. Although, the scandal seems to be a cloud, of some sorts, it may well act in their favour. They're united now, unlike at Euro where they did horribly. Even in the press there was optimism months before Monday's game (Italy and the Czechs, so far, played the nicest and more fluid games). They have a truckload of experience, and heartbreak, from the previous years (90, 94, 98, 02, and Euro 2000, ). Everything is in place this time and unlike Brazil, Italy does not have all "the best players in the world" but they do have what it takes to win
ciao
