Yes, I agree! The beauty in life, as in all things, is the beauty in transience. We come and we go, leaving the rest of us who are still here, wanting more. Death brings grief, and grief is sorrow. Nothing is more beautiful than the meaning of love expressed in grief and sorrow. Death is change, and change is transience, and I am a spuming wave waxing the shores of transcience.

It is a beautiful thing to know that nothing lasts forever. If death were life's flaw, then life is more beautiful when tan to its flaws. Appreciation comes when things aren't taken for granted, and it is easy to take things for granted when an opposite is not poised. Momentary existence is the most beautiful thing when it is left to be remembered immortally.

Death is what makes life important. Imagine two English classes, with the same assignment.

Morning class: "You should read this book someday soon."
Afternoon class: "Read this book by Thursday's class meeting."

Which class do you think would be more likely to read the book? You got it. The afternoon class has a deadline, some urgency to complete a task.

We have a limited time in which to grow up, have families of our own, and accomplish whatever we can. The deaths of our loved ones remind us that we, too, have limited time to make an impact. So we hurry and show effort to get things done, rather than wait until tomorrow.

Yes, I agree. Life is wonderful and I wouldn't miss it for the world. But it does seem like a relief to know that someday hopefully in the distant future it will all be over. It would seem agonizing to know death was not an option. I mean after millions of years as you watch all the cycles of things... it seem a relief to "cash out". Maybe if we entered a different form of existence... such as heaven, it would be great.

No! I see the wonders that have happened in the last 100 years, and I wonder what will happen next! I plan to live for a minimum of 1000 years, then decide what I will so next...

Yes, if we lived forever, there would not be anything to look forward to in life. For example... I want to get married but i can wait until im 80 or so... dying helps us appreciate what we have right now... and it is life. Good old beautiful life.

you must have some problems in your life to makes you say those things. i believe we don't live forever, if you live forever, everyone would be afraid of you. because you are so damn old. but hey, live as how much you can, and wondering about the future is just waste of time... you never know what will going to happen later on. AND THE LEAST YOU EXSPECT GOOD THINGS TO HAPPEN IN YOUR LIFE, SOMETHING MIGHT BE BETTER COMES AROUND.

I think living forever would eventually get boring. But I don't think most ppl would agree, because they spend so much time worrying about dying that they don't even notice half the stuff there is around them to enjoy.

I hate the idea of death..it pains me to think some of the ppl I love most could be gone in an instant, but what would we do forever? Just thinking of what forever means bothers me. and if no one ever died where would we all be? there wouldn't be enough room to walk around. so yes, I kinda agree with you.

No you are wrong. Have you imagine a girl putting make-up in her face then ruin it, is she looks beautiful? Life is beautiful if you use it of its purpose, death is the ugliest part of it. Have you seen happy faces in a funeral? No. why? Because death of their loved ones hurt them. We wish to live, we fight to survive, the reason why we go to hospital if got sick, we take refuge if life is endangered. Becuase we treasure life.
