My ex is in prison for 15 years for attempted strangualation and domestic battery. He hurt me really bad and left me on the floor bleeding to death. My daughter found me and called 911.

Anyone in this situation PLEASE get out or get help. I never in my life would have thought he would ever go that far.. it was always "oh, he just hit me on my arm or a little on my face." I never had him try and kill me before then all of a sudden he just snapped.

Yes, in many ways, physically & emotionally. If he ever raises a hand to me again, I am out of here! No one desreves to be hit. Someone should walk away. A wise man told me, "girls are for hugging, not hitting". Hope you are OK. hugs, Susan

my sons bio father attacked me during my pregnacy and after. i saw my mom go thru that so i thought it was ok, i "woke up" and realized i shouldnt have to go thru this anymore. the last time he hit me , he knocked me to the floor and i picked up one of his tools, a wrench and hit him on the shin(leg). he fell to the ground i got up and ran as fast i could and never looked back. I am now married to a wonderful man (who has never hit me).my sons father still wants me back after 9 years and has done everything to break me and my hubby up,(he told my parents we are secretly seeing each other at motels, he told people i cant divorce my new hubby because he wont let me and hits me!!!!)he is a loser and tries everything to get me back, he filed for custody of our son and made up all kinds of stories. i have my son and he is in jail for whatever reason he wont tell anyone i know . so now me and my family are very happy. i havent been hit by anyone and I have never hit my own kids. i cant see myself hurting another human. if someone hits you lkeave!!! good luck.

Intolerance for physical violence should be established from the very beginning. A woman has to make sure he knows that the minute he raises his hand, you're out. But, if it's too late for that, try talking to him about it, and be very firm. If he does it again, leave.

Yes. Then I got even. Tied him up in the bedsheets when he was sleeping, whacked the crap out of him with a shovel and left his nasty hind end!

Divorce came next and I hear he treats women with a lot of respect now.
