It is strange for the same part to be malfunctioning... but after over a year you would think the company would have seen trends. Just curious.

It used to be companies would issue a service bulletin so repair shops could upgrade the parts on a unit. As my co-worker likes to say "they are finding cheaper ways of making things cheaper".

The best suggestion that I can give is for you to contact the manufacturer of the DVD player and explain what has happened, you may be able to just send them an Email, but you may need to call them on an 800 #. They should be able to tell you what to do or maybe they could compensate you with another model that is not malfunctioning.

Sam's Club doesn't care about quality
they pay thier workers in Bangladesh
the equivalent of 12 U.S.dollars a month
it doesn't cost them a dime to continue to replace
your DVD/VCR what would cost them is spending
more money on research and development

maybe you should just tell them that you dont want the DVD player if it breaks again and you just want your $ back since its a hassle having to bring it in 3 times a year, if they don't then ask to talk to a manager. and also mention that you PAID to be a member for Sams Club so you should get treated well and get quality products.
